Dk77 Series High Speed EDM Wire Cutting Machine Dk7745
Description:
EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) Wire Cutting Machine is a
high-precision non-traditional machining equipment that uses a
thin, electrically conductive wire as the electrode to cut
workpieces through electrical discharge erosion. The machine
consists of a wire feeding system, a workpiece positioning
platform, a high-frequency pulse power supply, and a numerical
control (CNC) system. During operation, the wire electrode
(typically copper or molybdenum wire) moves continuously at a
stable speed, while a small gap is maintained between the wire and
the workpiece. The high-frequency pulse power supply generates
electric sparks in this gap, which melt and vaporize the workpiece
material (conductive metals) to achieve precise cutting. Advanced
models are equipped with automatic wire threading, gap adaptive
control, and CNC programming functions, enabling complex contour
cutting with ultra-high precision and surface finish.

Application:
- Processing Special Materials: Wire EDM technology is not
constrained by material properties, enabling machining of any
hardness, strength, or brittleness—including materials like
hardened steel, titanium alloys, and cemented carbides that are
difficult to process mechanically.
- Mold Component Machining: Wire EDM technology is widely used for
electrode processing in stamping dies, extrusion dies, plastic
molds, and EDM cavity molds.
- New Product Trial Production: During new product development, wire
cutting can directly fabricate parts without requiring molds,
significantly shortening development cycles and reducing trial
production costs.
- Processing Special Features like Micro-holes and Narrow Slots: Wire
EDM excels at machining intricate features such as micro-holes and
narrow slots, which are challenging to achieve with other methods.
Wire EDM technology finds extensive applications in mechanical
processing, cold stamping dies, and extrusion die manufacturing,
offering advantages including short production cycles, low
manufacturing costs, and high fitting precision.
Advantages:
Wire cutting technology, as a specialized machining technique, has
gained widespread application in mechanical manufacturing due to
its high machining precision, high production efficiency, low power
consumption, and low manufacturing costs. Particularly in the mold
manufacturing industry, electrical discharge wire cutting
technology is extensively used in the processing of cold-forming
dies and extrusion dies. This has replaced the traditional approach
of separate mold fabrication and curve grinding, shortening
manufacturing cycles, reducing production costs, and achieving high
assembly accuracy.
